Essentially an amalgamation of two entities, MCS Pipeline Services (Pty) Ltd effectively came into operation in 1974 and is today a total solutions company serving the African and Middle East Oil and Gas markets. As a leader in its field, MCS Pipeline Services is capable of taking projects from the engineering design phase through to execution – and with an enviable inventory of equipment, is perfectly positioned to be of service, regardless of the requirement or location.

We have long-standing relationships with our clients who put their faith in our abilities and experience and know they can entrust their requirements to us at any time. With our objective of saving them money through a comprehensive range of turnkey services which help to reduce downtime, the role we play is often integral to their functioning. “The company performed work for me whilst I was maintenance manager for Sasol Gas in the Kwazulu region. They installed two High Density Polyethylene Pipelines and related above ground gas metering facilities in the Richards Bay and Verulam area of operations. These being a 5.2 kilometer pipeline and a 1.2 kilometer pipeline both 6” in diameter as well as two customer metering stations. Both pipelines were above ground facilities and were completed ahead of schedule and within budget. We were also able to pre-commission the works ahead of schedule which greatly assisted our customers. They also performed work for the natural gas project which brought gas in from Mozambique to Secunda in that they completed a 1 kilometer section of the pipeline in the Secunda plant where all the weld procedures and coating methods were tested and approved prior to construction.
